3D Spine Analysis Software (3dSpAn) performs three-dimensional segmentation and quantitative morphological analysis of dendritic spines from microscopy imaging data.

  • 3D Multi-Scale Segmentation: Applies a three-dimensional multi-scale opening algorithm within a shared intensity space to segment dendritic spines from dendrites.
  • Preprocessing and ROI Selection: Processes microscopy images and enables definition of regions of interest for focused analysis.
  • Intensity Thresholding and Seed Detection: Uses intensity-based thresholding and seed selection to initiate segmentation of dendritic spines.
