Animal-ImputeDB

Animal-ImputeDB provides reference panels and genotype imputation resources for 13 animal species to support genotype imputation in genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and genetic improvement programs.

  • Extensive Reference Panels: High-quality reference panels constructed from approximately 400 million single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) derived from 2,265 samples across multiple animal species.
  • Genotype Imputation: Computational prediction of unobserved genotypes to increase SNP density for studies using low-density SNP arrays.
  • Integration of Imputation Tools: Incorporation of two widely-used imputation tools for performing genotype imputation using the reference panels.
  • Aggregation of Genomic Data: Compilation of genotype data and whole-genome resequencing data from multiple studies and databases to build robust reference panels.
  • Cross-Species Coverage: Reference panels and imputation resources covering 13 diverse nonhuman animal species.
