Banana Genome Hub provides an integrated bioinformatics resource for Musa genomics, enabling incorporation and analysis of the Musa acuminata reference genome and related datasets to support comparative genomics, evolutionary studies, and genetic improvement.

- Reference Genome Integration: Incorporates the Musa acuminata reference genome as a high-contiguity whole-genome sequence (523 megabases from a doubled-haploid genotype) for comparative and evolutionary analyses.
- Interoperability and Data Integration: Integrates Musa-related datasets into generic systems and connects existing information systems including transcriptomics databases, the rice reference genome, and workflow managers.
- Advanced Analytical Tools: Provides community annotation systems, phylogenomics resources, and metabolic pathway analysis for post-genomic studies.
- Genetic and Comparative Analysis: Supports SNP and polymorphism analysis, gene family studies, synteny block exploration, and detection of three rounds of whole-genome duplications in the Musa lineage independent of Poales and Arecales.
