CaSiAn
CaSiAn analyzes calcium (Ca2+) signaling time-series to quantify individual spike properties and time-course statistics for studying cellular Ca2+ dynamics.
Key Features:
- Quantitative Analysis: Quantifies individual spike properties and time-course statistics from Ca2+ signals.
- Semi-automated Processing: Provides semi-automated processing with adjustable peak-detection parameters and the ability to revise statistical measures.
- Peak Detection: Detects spikes in Ca2+ time courses and reports peak-related metrics for downstream analysis.
- Data Export: Exports quantified signal properties to Excel and plain text file formats.
Scientific Applications:
- Cell Type-Specific Analysis: Enables comparison of Ca2+ spike characteristics across different cell types.
- Pathway-Specific Studies: Supports analysis of pathway-specific Ca2+ signaling features to investigate regulatory mechanisms.
- Comparative Studies: Facilitates comparative analyses between experimental conditions or treatments to identify signaling alterations.
Methodology:
Semi-automated peak detection and quantification of individual spike properties and time-course statistics with adjustable peak-detection and statistical parameters; implemented in Java.
