DEN-IM

DEN-IM performs comprehensive analyses of dengue virus (DENV) sequences to infer coding sequences (CDS), identify serotypes and genotypes, and generate phylogenetic trees for evolutionary and epidemiological studies.

Key Features:

  • Coding Sequence Inference: Accurately infers DENV coding sequence (CDS) from sequencing data.
  • Serotype and Genotype Identification: Identifies DENV serotypes and genotypes for strain characterization.
  • Phylogenetic Analysis: Generates phylogenetic trees to elucidate evolutionary relationships among DENV strains.

Scientific Applications:

  • Dengue Virus Evolution, Transmission Dynamics, and Epidemiology: Provides insights into viral dissemination and genetic diversity to inform studies of transmission dynamics, outbreak investigation, and dengue epidemiology.

Methodology:

Leverages High Throughput Sequencing (HTS) data from both shotgun and targeted metagenomics approaches to perform CDS inference, serotype and genotype identification, and phylogenetic tree generation.
