ImpRes supports the systematic design of implementation research by providing a structured framework that integrates implementation theories, frameworks and models, determinants of implementation, implementation strategies, implementation outcomes, and assessment of unintended consequences.

Key Features:

• Systematic Framework: Provides a structured methodology for designing implementation studies to ensure critical aspects of implementation science are considered.
• Core Domains: Identifies ten core domains essential to implementation research, including implementation theories, frameworks and models; determinants of implementation; implementation strategies; implementation outcomes; and unintended consequences.
• Expert Input and Consensus: Developed through iterative brainstorming, consensus-building with an international multidisciplinary expert panel, and an extensive literature review.
• Application and Evaluation: Tested across 15 implementation and improvement science projects within the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) South London and evaluated using an 11-item questionnaire assessing structure, content, and usefulness.

Methodology:

Development used a multi-method, multi-stage iterative process combining literature review, expert consensus via iterative brainstorming, and empirical evaluation across projects using an 11-item questionnaire.
