MatrisomeDB

MatrisomeDB provides a curated, standardized repository of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteomic data to support comparative analysis of ECM composition across tissues, cancer types, and disease states.


Key Features:

  • Extensive Data Collection: Compiles proteomic data from 17 studies covering 15 normal tissue types, six cancer types (including multiple breast cancer grades, colorectal cancer, melanoma, and insulinoma) and disease states such as vascular defects and lung and liver fibrosis, for human and mouse ECM proteoforms.
  • Standardized Data Processing: Raw mass spectrometry data files were retrieved and reprocessed using uniform search parameters and criteria to enable direct comparisons across studies.
  • Detailed Analytical Outputs: Provides hierarchically-clustered tissue distribution maps, peptide coverage maps, and lists of identified post-translational modifications for ECM components.
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Contains over 847 human and 791 mouse ECM proteoforms and more than 350,000 human and 600,000 mouse ECM-derived peptide-to-spectrum matches (PSMs).
