OAR

The Open Access to Research (OAR) is a scientific data infrastructure developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in collaboration with the broader research community. Aligned with FAIR data principles, OAR aims to promote public access to research data across various scientific disciplines. The Material Measurement Laboratory Office of Data and Informatics (ODI) at NIST has recently launched a scientific data discovery portal and public data repository as part of the OAR initiative. These applications provide access to carefully curated Standard Reference Data, legacy high-value data, and new research data publications from a wide range of NIST research areas. The implementation of OAR is crucial to NIST's mission of sharing high-quality, reproducible research for measurement science in an ever-evolving world.
