PhenoCam

PhenoCam monitors vegetation phenology across diverse biomes using time-series imagery from the PhenoCam network to provide observational phenological metrics for ecological and remote-sensing research.

Key Features:

• PhenoCam Dataset v2.0: The PhenoCam Dataset v2.0 comprises imagery from 393 digital cameras and 1783 site-years of observations spanning multiple plant functional types, biomes, and climates, with a majority of cameras in North America and global coverage.
• High-frequency imaging: Cameras upload images every half hour, providing high temporal resolution time series.
• Green Chromatic Coordinate (Gcc) timeseries: The dataset includes timeseries of the Green Chromatic Coordinate (Gcc) derived from camera imagery.
• Per-plant-functional-type processing: Each plant functional type within a camera's field of view is processed separately.
• Data curation and quality control: Dataset v2.0 underwent rigorous processing and curation including outlier detection and expert inspection.
