ROBOT automates ontology development and workflow operations for the Open Biological and Biomedical Ontologies (OBO) community.

Key Features:

• Automation of ontology development tasks: Automates running automated reasoners, performing quality control checks, extracting dependencies, generating application-specific subsets, creating standard reports, and producing release files in multiple formats.
• High-level operations on the OWL API: Leverages the OWL API Java library to provide format conversion, reasoner execution, import module creation, and report generation.
• JVM library integration and workflow automation: Exposes functionality as a library usable in Java Virtual Machine (JVM) environments and supports integration into task execution systems like GNU Make and continuous integration workflows.
• Logical validation and reasoning support: Performs logical validation checks, supports various reasoners with ELK as the default, and provides options for handling equivalent classes and generated axioms.
• Adherence to OBO conventions: Enforces OBO community conventions to maintain logical consistency and meet community-specific requirements.
