SimpleDSFviewer
SimpleDSFviewer analyzes differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF; thermal shift assay) data to compute and visualize protein thermal stability metrics, including melting temperature (Tm), to support studies of protein stability and protein–ligand interactions.
Key Features:
- Melting Curve Normalization and Smoothing: Performs normalization and smoothing of melting curves to reduce noise and refine signal.
- Melting Temperature (Tm) Analysis: Determines melting temperature (Tm) from processed DSF data for stability assessment.
- Visualization: Generates melting curve plots and visual outputs for assessed DSF traces.
- Matlab Integration: Implemented in Matlab and compatible with the Matlab workspace and Matlab Runtime.
Scientific Applications:
- Protein Thermal Stability Profiling: Characterizing thermal stability profiles of proteins using DSF-derived melting curves.
- Protein–Ligand Binding Analysis: Investigating protein–ligand binding dynamics via thermal shift measurements and Tm changes.
- High-Throughput Screening: Supporting high-throughput screening workflows for identification of potential drug candidates using DSF.
Methodology:
Performs normalization and smoothing of raw DSF melting curves followed by computational determination of Tm; implemented in Matlab and compatible with the Matlab workspace and Matlab Runtime.
