South Green Genome Hubs

South Green Genome Hubs manage and integrate genomic datasets for tropical and Mediterranean plants to support basic and applied plant genomics research.

Key Features:

• Crop-Specific Portals: Support crop-specific portals for Banana (Musa acuminata), Cassava, Cacao, Coffee (Coffea canephora), Grass, Rice, and Sugarcane tailored to each crop's genomic data.
• Comprehensive Data Access: Provide access to genome assemblies, gene product information, metabolic pathways, gene families, transcriptomics, and genetic marker datasets.
• Interoperability and Integration: Integrate transcriptomics, genetic maps, synteny blocks, and other genomic datasets across systems to enable data exchange.
• Advanced Tools and Resources: Include Community Annotation Systems, phylogenomics resources, metabolic pathway resources, and support for SNP and polymorphism analyses.
• Enhanced Data Visualization and Querying: Employ GMOD tools, genome browsers with Community Annotation Systems, and annotation editors for querying, visualization, and data retrieval.
• Support for Translational Research: Link genomics and genetics datasets with analysis tools to support translational and applied research, including breeding-relevant analyses in coffee.
