T-psi-C

T-psi-C provides a curated database of transfer RNA (tRNA) sequences and 3D structures to support research into tRNA functions and associations with human disease.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Data Collection: Integrates data from high-throughput tRNA sequencing, including isoacceptors and isodecoders identified in human HEK293 cells.
  • 3D Structural Information: Includes tRNA structures sourced from the Protein Data Bank (PDB) and structures generated by homology modeling.
  • Programmatic Access and Data Format: Provides an application programming interface (API) that enables data upload and download in JSON format.

Scientific Applications:

  • Functional Studies: Enables investigation of tRNA functions beyond translation, including regulatory roles in gene expression and links to disease mechanisms.
  • Structural Biology: Supports analysis of tRNA interactions and structural dynamics using PDB-derived and homology-modeled 3D structures.
  • Comparative Analysis: Facilitates comparative studies of isoacceptors and isodecoders to characterize sequence and structural variation within tRNA populations.

Methodology:

Integrates high-throughput tRNA sequencing data; incorporates Protein Data Bank (PDB) structures and homology-modeled tRNA structures; supports programmatic data exchange via an API using JSON format.
