TFmiR2
TFmiR2 constructs integrated transcription factor (TF) and microRNA (miRNA) co-regulatory networks for human and mouse and analyzes them to identify key driver genes and key driver miRNAs and to detect four-node TF-miRNA motifs relevant to tissue- and process-specific regulation.
Key Features:
- Network construction: Builds integrated TF and miRNA co-regulatory networks for human and mouse.
- Tissue- and process-specific networks: Generates tissue-specific and biological process-specific networks using user-provided sets of deregulated genes and miRNAs.
- Key driver identification: Identifies "key driver genes" and "key driver miRNAs" using a graph theoretical minimum connected dominating set.
- Motif detection: Detects four-node TF-miRNA motifs representing specific interaction patterns between transcription factors and microRNAs.
Scientific Applications:
- Disease pathogenesis: Analysis of regulatory interactions underlying disease pathogenesis.
- Tissue-specific regulation: Investigation of tissue-specific regulatory mechanisms.
- Biological process analysis: Dissection of regulatory mechanisms in specific biological processes.
Methodology:
Constructs co-regulatory networks from user-provided deregulated genes and miRNAs to produce tissue- and biological process-specific networks; applies the minimum connected dominating set to identify key driver genes and key driver miRNAs; searches networks for four-node TF-miRNA motifs.
