Asc-Seurat

Asc-Seurat extends the Seurat framework to perform comprehensive analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data, enabling quality control, normalization, clustering, differential expression, visualization, iterative processing, and developmental trajectory characterization.

Key Features:

  • Seurat-based framework: Built as an extension of the Seurat framework to leverage established single-cell analysis methods.
  • Quality control: Implements procedures for filtering and assessing scRNA-seq data quality.
  • Normalization: Provides methods for normalization of single-cell gene expression measurements.
  • Clustering: Supports clustering of cells to identify putative cell populations.
  • Differential expression analysis: Enables identification of genes differentially expressed between clusters or conditions.
  • Visualization: Offers visualization functionalities for exploring transcriptomic data and analysis results.
  • Iterative data processing: Allows repeated adjustment of parameters and reprocessing to refine analyses.
  • Developmental trajectory analysis: Facilitates characterization of cell types and mapping of cellular differentiation pathways.

Scientific Applications:

  • Cellular heterogeneity and gene expression dynamics: Supports analysis of cellular diversity and changes in gene expression at single-cell resolution.
  • Developmental biology: Enables investigation of developmental processes and lineage relationships.
  • Immunology: Applicable to studies of immune cell populations and their transcriptional states.
  • Oncology: Supports characterization of tumor heterogeneity and tumor microenvironment cell types.
  • Regenerative medicine: Facilitates analysis of cell identity and differentiation relevant to tissue repair and regeneration.

Methodology:

Methodology is grounded in the Seurat framework's established principles and integrates those methodologies with additional analytical features for scRNA-seq analysis.
