BCO App

BCO App generates, validates, and enables exploration of BioCompute Objects (BCOs) to standardize and communicate next-generation sequencing and high-throughput sequencing (HTS) computational workflows in accordance with IEEE 2791-2020.


Key Features:

  • BCO creation: Generates BioCompute Objects from workflow metadata and computational environments.
  • Input formats: Accepts plaintext workflow metadata and workflows written in the Common Workflow Language (CWL).
  • Validation: Performs validation of BCOs consistent with the IEEE 2791-2020 standard.
  • CGC integration: Integrates with the Cancer Genomics Cloud (CGC) to access and ingest task execution results.
  • Auto-population: Auto-populates workflow information fields from existing workflow and task execution data.
  • Export formats: Exports BioCompute Objects as JSON and PDF files.
  • Publishing: Publishes BioCompute Objects to the Cancer Genomics Cloud (CGC) and GitHub repositories.
  • Exploration: Enables exploration of BCO contents for review and inspection.
