BGFD

BGFD provides an integrated multi-omics resource characterizing 5593 genes across 77 barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) gene families to support analyses of molecular function and evolutionary history.

Key Features:

  • Integrated multi-omics datasets: Compiles expression pattern data and genetic variation maps for 5593 genes across 77 gene families.
  • Physicochemical and gene structure annotations: Supplies physicochemical property data and gene structure information for annotated genes.
  • Phylogenetic and motif analyses: Includes phylogenetic relationships and motif organization data for gene family comparisons.
  • Analysis toolkits: Provides BLAST search capability and additional analysis tools for sequence-based investigations.

Scientific Applications:

  • Gene family annotation and identification: Enables systematic annotation and identification of barley gene families for functional studies.
  • Domestication and evolutionary research: Supports investigations into barley domestication processes and adaptive evolution using genetic variation and phylogenetic data.
  • Agronomic trait exploration: Facilitates screening of candidate genes associated with agronomic traits using integrated expression and variation data.

Methodology:

Systematic identification and annotation of gene families using compiled multi-omics datasets to generate expression pattern profiles and genetic variation maps.
