BgeeCall
BgeeCall generates present/absent gene expression calls from RNA-Seq data without using arbitrary expression cutoffs such as TPM<1.
Key Features:
- Reference intergenic sequence generation: Reference intergenic sequences are generated based on expression data from all RNA-Seq libraries of each species integrated in Bgee.
- Expression call generation: Present/absent gene expression calls are generated based on these reference intergenic sequences rather than on arbitrary thresholds.
Scientific Applications:
- RNA-Seq gene expression analysis: Determination of gene presence or absence in RNA-Seq experiments across species represented in the Bgee database.
Methodology:
Calls are generated based on reference intergenic sequences derived from the expression of all RNA-Seq libraries of each species integrated in Bgee.
