BloodGen3Module

BloodGen3Module performs module repertoire analyses and generates fingerprint representations for gene expression data in R.

Key Features:

  • Group Comparison Analysis: Functions perform statistical comparison between groups to determine module activity differences.
  • Individual Sample Analysis: Functions analyze single samples for module repertoire characterization.
  • Fingerprint Grid Plot Visualization: Results are represented on a grid where each position is assigned to a given module, with red and blue spots indicating increases or decreases in module activity.
  • Fingerprint Heatmap Visualization: Results are displayed in a heatmap format with samples arranged in columns and modules in rows.
  • Module Activity Quantification: Determines the percentage of constitutive genes for each module that are significantly increased or decreased.

Scientific Applications:

  • Gene Expression Module Analysis: Analyzes coordinated gene expression patterns within predefined functional modules.
  • Transcriptional Fingerprinting: Generates visual fingerprints to represent sample-specific or group-specific transcriptional states.

Methodology:

Module repertoire analyses determine the percentage of constitutive genes for each module that are significantly increased or decreased, with results represented as fingerprints showing red spots for increases and blue spots for decreases in module activity.
