circRNAprofiler
circRNAprofiler provides an R-based computational framework for the comprehensive in silico analysis of circular RNAs (circRNAs), enabling the combination and downstream analysis of circRNAs detected by multiple publicly available annotation-based circRNA detection tools.
Key Features:
- Differential Expression Analysis: Performs statistical analysis to identify differentially expressed circRNAs across conditions.
- Evolutionary Conservation Analysis: Assesses the evolutionary conservation of detected circRNAs.
- Biogenesis Analysis: Investigates the mechanisms and patterns of circRNA formation.
- Functional Analysis: Evaluates the functional implications and potential roles of circRNAs.
- Multi-tool Integration: Combines circRNA detection results from multiple publicly available annotation-based circRNA detection tools.
Scientific Applications:
- circRNA Detection Consolidation: Integrates and analyzes circRNAs identified by diverse annotation-based detection methods for robust downstream analysis.
- Comprehensive circRNA Characterization: Supports multi-faceted investigation of circRNA expression, conservation, biogenesis, and function in silico.
Methodology:
The framework is implemented in R and processes circRNAs previously detected by annotation-based circRNA detection tools to perform downstream analyses including differential expression, evolutionary conservation, biogenesis, and functional analysis.
