CoSIA
CoSIA provides an alternative methodology for comparing transcriptome diversity and variation across species and tissues using normal wild-type RNA-Seq Gene Expression data from Bgee.
Key Features:
- Cross-species and cross-tissue comparison: Enables comparison of gene expression across multiple species and tissue types using Bgee RNA-Seq data.
- Transcriptome diversity metrics: Calculates transcriptome diversity and variation using Coefficient of Variation, Shannon Entropy, and Specificity.
- Visualization tools: Provides multiple visualization tools to explore transcriptome diversity and variation across genes, tissues, and species.
- Conversion tools and utilities: Supplies additional conversion tools and utilities to streamline cross-species comparison methodology.
Scientific Applications:
- Transcriptome diversity analysis: Investigates transcriptome diversity and variation patterns across genes, tissues, and species using RNA-Seq data.
- Cross-species gene expression comparison: Facilitates comparative analysis of normal wild-type gene expression between different species.
Methodology:
CoSIA uses Coefficient of Variation and Shannon Entropy and Specificity to calculate transcriptome diversity and variation.
