CTdata
CTdata compiles and distributes data from publicly available databases (GTEx, CCLE, TCGA and ENCODE) to support re-definition of a comprehensive and thoroughly curated list of cancer-testis (CT) genes and their main characteristics.
Key Features:
- Multi-database integration: Aggregates data from GTEx, CCLE, TCGA, and ENCODE databases.
- CT gene curation support: Provides companion data for CTexploreR to enable re-definition of cancer-testis gene lists and their characteristics.
Scientific Applications:
- Cancer-testis gene research: Supports systematic identification and characterization of CT genes across normal and cancer tissues.
- Comparative transcriptomics: Enables cross-database analysis of gene expression patterns in normal tissues (GTEx), cancer cell lines (CCLE), tumors (TCGA), and regulatory elements (ENCODE).
Methodology:
Data compilation from publicly available databases GTEx, CCLE, TCGA, and ENCODE as a companion data package to CTexploreR.
