decemedip

decemedip infers the relative abundances of cell types and tissues measured by methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing (MeDIP-Seq) through hierarchical Bayesian modeling.

Key Features:

  • Cross-technology reference compatibility: The paradigm allows using reference data from other technologies such as microarray or whole-genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS).
  • Immunoprecipitation-based methylome deconvolution: The package performs cell type deconvolution specifically for immunoprecipitation-based DNA methylome data.

Scientific Applications:

  • MeDIP-Seq cell type deconvolution: Inferring relative abundances of cell types and tissues from methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing data.

Methodology:

Hierarchical Bayesian modeling for cell type deconvolution.
