decompTumor2Sig

decompTumor2Sig uses quadratic programming for signature refitting to decompose the mutation catalog from an individual tumor sample into a set of given mutational signatures, computing weights that reflect the contributions of the signatures to the mutation load of the tumor.

Key Features:

  • Signature refitting: Decomposes tumor mutation catalogs into predefined mutational signatures using quadratic programming.
  • Alexandrov-model signatures: Supports decomposition based on the Alexandrov mutational signature model.
  • Shiraishi-model signatures: Supports decomposition based on the Shiraishi mutational signature model.
  • Contribution weight computation: Calculates weights reflecting signature contributions to tumor mutation load.

Scientific Applications:

  • Tumor mutational signature analysis: Identifies the relative contributions of known mutational processes to individual tumor samples.

Methodology:

Quadratic programming.
