drugfindR
drugfindR provides programmatic access to LINCS Signatures from the iLINCS database and enables identification of concordant and discordant signatures against user-supplied transcriptomic signatures for candidate drug repurposing.
Key Features:
- LINCS Signature Access: Retrieves Consensus Gene Knockdown Signatures, Gene Overexpression Signatures, and Chemical Perturbagen Signatures from the iLINCS database.
- Signature Comparison: Identifies concordant and discordant signatures between user-entered transcriptomic signatures and the LINCS database.
Scientific Applications:
- Drug Repurposing: Investigates candidate repurposable drugs by matching transcriptomic signatures to chemical perturbagen and genetic manipulation signatures in LINCS.
- Transcriptomic Signature Analysis: Enables comparison of custom gene expression signatures against large-scale perturbation databases to infer functional relationships.
Methodology:
The package accesses the iLINCS database to retrieve LINCS Signatures and performs signature concordance and discordance analysis against user-provided transcriptomic signatures.
