ggtreeExtra extends the method for mapping and visualizing associated data on phylogenetic trees using ggtree with the grammar of ggplot2.

Key Features:

• Extended layout support: Associated data can be presented on external panels to circular layout, fan layout, or other rectangular layout trees built by ggtree.
• Heterogeneous data visualization: Supports more data types and visualization methods than other tools for displaying richly annotated phylogenetic data.

• Evolutionary statistics integration: Allows evolutionary statistics inferred by commonly used software to be integrated and visualized with external data.
