GloScope
GloScope represents and summarizes the entire single-cell profile of a sample to enable population-level bioinformatic analyses including visualization and quality control.
Key Features:
- Sample Distribution Estimation: Estimates the distribution of each sample from single-cell RNA-sequencing data.
- Statistical Divergence Calculation: Calculates statistical divergence among samples to quantify inter-sample variation.
- Distance Matrix Visualization: Visualizes the distance matrix through multidimensional scaling (MDS) plots.
Scientific Applications:
- Sample-Level Visualization: Enables visualization of scRNA-Seq data across dozens to hundreds of samples for population-scale studies.
- Quality Control Assessment: Supports quality control evaluation at the sample level to identify problematic samples in large cohorts.
- Population-Level Analysis: Addresses sample heterogeneity effects on organism phenotype in multi-sample scRNA-Seq study designs.
Methodology:
GloScope constructs a representation of the entire single-cell profile of a sample, estimates sample distributions, calculates statistical divergence among samples, and visualizes the resulting distance matrix through MDS plots.
