GNOSIS
GNOSIS enables users to efficiently explore and visualise clinical and genomic data obtained from cBioPortal through a range of incorporated R packages.
Key Features:
- Data Upload and Initial Exploration: Supports importing and preliminary examination of clinical and genomic datasets from cBioPortal.
- Data Recoding and Subsetting: Allows transformation and filtering of data for targeted analysis.
- Multiple Visualisations: Generates diverse graphical representations of clinical and genomic data.
- Survival Analysis: Performs statistical survival analysis to identify genomic prognostic markers.
- Statistical Analysis: Conducts statistical computations on integrated clinical and genomic datasets.
- Mutation Analysis: Analyzes mutation data from cancer genomics datasets.
- Reproducible Research Support: Provides downloadable input logs and R scripts from each analysis session.
Scientific Applications:
- Cancer Genomics Exploration: Supports exploratory analysis of cancer consortia data curated by cBioPortal to identify novel genomic prognostic markers.
- Prognostic Marker Identification: Enables discovery of genomic markers with potential for diagnostic and therapeutic exploitation through survival analysis.
- Clinical and Genomic Data Integration: Facilitates combined analysis of clinical outcomes with genomic alterations in cancer research.
Methodology:
GNOSIS is implemented as an R Shiny application incorporating multiple R packages, with analysis organized through multiple tab panels supporting sequential workflows from data upload through visualization and statistical analysis.
