HiCParser
HiCParser imports Hi-C data into R and formats it as an InteractionSet object for downstream analysis.
Key Features:
- Multi-format import: Accepts tabular files, Cooler .cool or .mcool files, Juicer .hic files, and HiC-Pro .matrix and .bed files.
- Multi-sample handling: Processes several files for multiple replicates and conditions simultaneously.
- Standardized output: Formats imported Hi-C data into an InteractionSet object.
Scientific Applications:
- Hi-C data integration: Enables import of diverse Hi-C datasets into R for unified downstream bioinformatics analysis.
- Comparative chromatin conformation analysis: Supports simultaneous loading of replicate and condition-specific Hi-C data for comparative studies.
Methodology:
Parsing and reformatting of Hi-C data files into the InteractionSet Bioconductor class structure.
