IONiseR
IONiseR provides tools for the quality assessment of Oxford Nanopore MinION data, extracting summary statistics from fast5 files before or after base calling and generating plots for visualising metrics relative to experiment run time or spatially over a flowcell surface.
Key Features:
- Summary Statistics Extraction: IONiseR extracts summary statistics from a set of fast5 files.
- Base Calling Flexibility: IONiseR can be used either before or after base calling.
- Read-Type Summaries: IONiseR produces standard summaries of the read-types generated by Oxford Nanopore MinION sequencing.
- Temporal Metric Visualisation: IONiseR provides plots for visualising metrics relative to experiment run time.
- Spatial Metric Visualisation: IONiseR provides plots for visualising metrics spatially over the surface of a flowcell.
Scientific Applications:
- Oxford Nanopore MinION Quality Assessment: IONiseR enables quality assessment of Oxford Nanopore MinION sequencing data through statistical summaries and visualisations.
Methodology:
IONiseR extracts summary statistics from fast5 files and generates plots for temporal and spatial visualisation of sequencing metrics.
