OVESEG
OVESEG performs multiple-group comparison to detect tissue/cell-specific marker genes among subtypes.
Key Features:
- OVESEG-test statistics computation: Provides functions to compute OVESEG-test statistics for multiple-group comparison.
- Mixture null distribution modeling: Derives component weights in the mixture null distribution model.
- Permutation-based p-value estimation: Estimates p-values from weightedly aggregated permutations.
- Upregulation pattern profiling: Obtained posterior probabilities of component null hypotheses portrait all kinds of upregulation patterns among subtypes.
Scientific Applications:
- Tissue-specific marker detection: Identifies tissue-specific marker genes among multiple subtypes.
- Cell-specific marker detection: Identifies cell-specific marker genes among multiple subtypes.
Methodology:
OVESEG computes OVESEG-test statistics, derives component weights in the mixture null distribution model, and estimates p-values from weightedly aggregated permutations.
