RegEnrich
RegEnrich implements a pipeline to identify key gene regulators in biological processes such as cell differentiation and cell development after stimulation.
Key Features:
- Differential Expression Analysis: Performs the first step of the pipeline to quantify gene expression changes.
- Regulator-Target Network Inference: Reconstructs regulatory relationships between regulators and their target genes.
- Enrichment Analysis: Assesses the statistical significance of regulator-target associations.
- Regulator Scoring and Ranking: Scores and ranks candidate regulators to prioritize key regulatory factors.
Scientific Applications:
- Cell Differentiation Studies: Identifies master regulators driving cell type transitions.
- Cell Development After Stimulation: Pinpoints critical regulatory genes controlling cellular responses to external stimuli.
Methodology:
The pipeline consists of four major steps: (1) differential expression analysis; (2) regulator-target network inference; (3) enrichment analysis; and (4) regulators scoring and ranking.
