SanityR
SanityR provides an R/Bioconductor interface to the Sanity model for gene expression analysis.
Key Features:
- Bayesian Normalization: Implements a Bayesian normalization procedure derived from first principles.
- Direct UMI Processing: Estimates expression values and associated error bars directly from raw unique molecular identifier (UMI) counts.
- Parameter-Free Operation: Functions without any tunable parameters.
Scientific Applications:
- Single-Cell Gene Expression Analysis: Normalizes and quantifies gene expression with error estimates from UMI-based single-cell RNA sequencing data.
Methodology:
Bayesian normalization derived from first principles applied directly to raw UMI counts.
