shinyepico
shinyepico analyzes Illumina DNA methylation arrays (450k or EPIC) to calculate differentially methylated positions and differentially methylated regions.
Key Features:
- Normalization method testing: The tool allows testing of several normalization methods.
- Linear model parameter configuration: The tool allows configuration of linear model parameters, including covariates.
- Differentially methylated CpG filtering: The tool allows filtering of differentially methylated CpGs.
- Interactive graphics: Interactive graphics help select options at each analysis step.
- Result export: The tool includes options to export results and obtain files for downstream analysis.
Scientific Applications:
- DNA methylation array analysis: Analysis of Illumina DNA methylation bead array data from raw data to final lists of differentially methylated positions and differentially methylated regions between sample groups.
- Epigenetic biomarker discovery: Identification of differentially methylated positions and regions for studying DNA methylation in human samples.
Methodology:
The tool uses linear models for differential methylation analysis and supports multiple normalization methods.
