Spaniel
Spaniel includes tools to aid the quality control and analysis of Spatial Transcriptomics data.
Key Features:
- Data Import: Spaniel imports data from either the original Spatial Transcriptomics system or 10X Visium technology.
- Object Creation: The package contains functions to create a SingleCellExperiment Seurat object.
- Image Loading: Spaniel provides a method of loading a histological image into R.
- Spatial Visualization: The spanielPlot function visualizes metrics contained within the S4 object overlaid onto the image of the tissue.
Scientific Applications:
- Spatial Transcriptomics Quality Control: Spaniel aids quality control of Spatial Transcriptomics data.
- Spatial Transcriptomics Analysis: Spaniel supports analysis workflows for Spatial Transcriptomics data from the original Spatial Transcriptomics system or 10X Visium technology.
Methodology:
Spaniel imports data and creates SingleCellExperiment Seurat objects, loads histological images into R, and overlays S4 object metrics onto tissue images using spanielPlot.
