SQLDataFrame
SQLDataFrame implements bindings for SQL tables that are compatible with Bioconductor S4 data structures, namely the DataFrame and DelayedArray, enabling SQL-derived data to be used inside other Bioconductor objects while keeping data on disk.
Key Features:
- Bioconductor S4 Compatibility: Implements bindings for SQL tables that are compatible with Bioconductor S4 data structures, specifically the DataFrame and DelayedArray classes.
- On-Disk Data Management: Keeps SQL-derived data on disk rather than loading it into memory.
- Integration with Bioconductor Objects: Enables SQL-derived data to be easily used inside other Bioconductor objects such as SummarizedExperiments.
Scientific Applications:
- Large-Scale Genomic Data Analysis: Facilitates analysis of large SQL-stored datasets within the Bioconductor ecosystem without requiring full data loading into memory.
- SummarizedExperiment Integration: Supports incorporation of SQL table data into SummarizedExperiment objects for downstream genomic analyses.
Methodology:
Implements bindings for SQL tables compatible with Bioconductor S4 data structures.
