Brick Plots
Brick Plots visualizes multiparametric immunophenotyped cell clusters from high-dimensional mass and flow cytometry datasets using two-dimensional barcodes to summarize cluster phenotypes and protein expression across the dataset.
Key Features:
- Two-Dimensional Barcode Visualization: Generates two-dimensional barcodes that represent the phenotype of each cell cluster relative to the entire dataset.
- Applicability to Mass and Flow Cytometry: Applies to mass cytometry datasets and can be used with flow cytometry datasets for multiparametric immunophenotyping.
- Phenotype Representation via Protein Expression Similarity: Encodes protein expression similarities across clusters to simplify interpretation of high-dimensional immunological data.
Scientific Applications:
- Phenotypic landscape analysis: Enables analysis of the phenotypic landscape of cell populations in basic immunological research.
- Clinical immune monitoring: Supports evaluation and comparison of immune responses in clinical trials.
- Data exploration and hypothesis generation: Facilitates exploration of cluster phenotypes and generation of hypotheses based on protein expression patterns.
Methodology:
Cells are assigned to population clusters based on protein expression similarity, and a two-dimensional barcode is created for each cluster to encapsulate its phenotypic characteristics in relation to the entire dataset.
