CarbArrayART
CarbArrayART manages storage, processing, presentation, and reporting of glycan microarray data to support identification of glycan ligands and reproducible glycomics experiments.
Key Features:
- Data storage and management: Stores quantified array data from diverse array layouts along with associated metadata.
- Scan data and metadata capture: Incorporates imaging scan data and array-specific metadata including lists of arrayed glycans, array geometry, glycan-binding sample details, and experimental protocols.
- Quantification: Calculates average fluorescence intensity values using imaging scan data and array geometry.
- Data presentation: Generates charts, tables, and heatmaps derived from averaged fluorescence intensity values.
- Filtering and sorting: Enables filtering and sorting of results based on monosaccharide content and glycan sequences.
- Export and reporting: Exports data and reports in Word, PDF, and Excel formats and includes metadata compliant with MIRAGE guidelines.
Scientific Applications:
- Slide-based glycan microarray experiments: Streamlines routine tasks for design, storage, processing, and reporting of slide-based glycan microarray studies.
- Glycan ligand identification: Supports analysis workflows used to identify glycan ligands across glycan recognition systems.
- Reproducible glycomics and data transparency: Facilitates MIRAGE-compliant reporting to improve data transparency, reproducibility, and validity in glycobiology research.
Methodology:
Computes average fluorescence intensity values from imaging scan data using array geometry, generates charts/tables/heatmaps from those values, supports filtering and sorting by monosaccharide content and glycan sequences, stores quantified array data and metadata, and exports MIRAGE-compliant reports in Word, PDF, and Excel formats.
