CCLE GDSC

CCLE GDSC integrates CCLE and GDSC datasets to analyze associations between next-generation sequencing gene expression profiles and drug sensitivity measured by drug screening across cancer cell lines.

Key Features:

  • Drug Sensitivity Exploration: Investigates associations between drug sensitivity measures and gene expression across diverse anticancer agents and cancer cell lines.
  • Gene Expression Associations: Provides predictive associations between gene expression levels (from next-generation sequencing) and therapeutic activity.
  • Comprehensive Data Integration: Combines Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia (CCLE) and Genomics of Drug Sensitivity in Cancer (GDSC) datasets encompassing genomic, molecular, and pharmacological data.
  • Discovery and Validation Support: Supports identification and cross-validation of known and novel gene–drug sensitivity associations across multiple cell lines.

Scientific Applications:

  • Personalized Medicine: Links tumor gene expression profiles to drug sensitivity patterns to inform selection of anticancer therapies.
  • Drug Development: Identifies biomarkers of sensitivity or resistance to guide preclinical therapeutic and combination strategy development.
  • Validation Studies: Validates hypotheses about gene expression impacts on drug response using integrated CCLE and GDSC datasets.

Methodology:

Large-scale CCLE and GDSC datasets—including next-generation sequencing gene expression profiles and drug screening results—are analyzed using computational techniques to correlate gene expression with drug sensitivity.
