CCPEM

CCPEM provides a computational framework for analysis and atomic model building in electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM) to support structural biology studies.

Key Features:

  • Support for diverse cryo-EM techniques and resolutions: Addresses computational workflows for a wide range of cryo-EM techniques and resolution regimes.
  • Python task wrappers: Provides Python task wrappers to integrate programs and enable scripting of computational tasks.
  • Atomic model building and refinement: Implements tools for building and refining atomic models within cryo-EM reconstructions.
  • Project and data management: Includes project and data management capabilities tailored to cryo-EM studies.
  • Program and developer integration: Integrates an array of external programs and utilities and provides support for developers creating cryo-EM software.

Scientific Applications:

  • Atomic model determination and refinement: Generation and refinement of atomic models from cryo-EM reconstructions for structural analysis.
  • Macromolecular structure interpretation: Derivation of detailed insights into macromolecular structures from cryo-EM data.
  • Data and project management for cryo-EM studies: Organization and management of cryo-EM projects and associated data.
  • Automation and scripting of analyses: Automation and pipeline integration of cryo-EM computational workflows via Python wrappers.

Methodology:

Uses Python task wrappers to integrate programs and enable scripting, implements atomic model building and refinement within cryo-EM reconstructions, and provides project and data management capabilities.
