CLIN-IK-LINKS
CLIN-IK-LINKS enables transformation and interoperability of Electronic Health Records (EHR) by creating and executing reusable mappings and workflows to convert clinical data into standardized formats compatible with traditional EHR systems and semantic web standards.
Key Features:
- Mapping management: Create, modify, and delete mappings used for clinical data transformation.
- Workflow definition and execution: Define and execute workflows tailored to EHR data transformation.
- Reusable mappings: Use mappings as primary, reusable components within workflows.
- Representation and storage: Represent, store, and utilize diverse types of mappings designed for clinical data transformation.
- Support for models: Accommodate information models, domain models, and inference models in mappings and workflows.
- Standards and ontologies: Leverage existing EHR standards and ontologies to facilitate data integration and interoperability.
- Format transformation: Transform EHR data into standardized formats compatible with traditional EHR systems and semantic web standards.
- Workflow discovery: Support discovery of new workflows for clinical data transformation.
- Clinical decision support enablement: Enable clinical decision support systems that combine a knowledge base and factual data.
Scientific Applications:
- Semantic publishing of clinical laboratory test results: Transform and semantically publish laboratory test results using real-world data to validate interoperability.
- Colorectal cancer screening protocols: Implement colorectal cancer screening protocols by transforming clinical data into interoperable formats validated with real-world data.
- Clinical decision support integration: Support CDSS that rely on mapped and standardized EHR data combined with a knowledge base and factual data.
Methodology:
Create, modify, and delete mappings; define and execute workflows; represent, store, and utilize diverse mapping types; transform EHR data into standardized formats compatible with traditional EHR systems and semantic web standards; and support discovery of new workflows.
