COEUS

COEUS provides a semantic web framework that maps complex biological relationships from heterogeneous 'omics' data into semantic web graphs to enable ontology-driven integration and knowledge federation in bioinformatics.

Key Features:

• Data triplification and integration: Includes triplification tools and integration connectors to ingest data from CSV and XML files as well as SQL and SPARQL query results.
• Ontology support: Supplies base ontologies and supports mapping resources onto one or more ontologies using advanced ontology mapping techniques.
• Semantic graph representation: Maps complex biological relationships into semantic web graphs to facilitate knowledge integration and federation.
• Web-oriented engine and API: Provides a web-oriented engine and a flexible exploration API for programmatic access to integrated data.
• Data access and publication: Exposes integrated data via REST services, a SPARQL endpoint, and LinkedData publication mechanisms.

Methodology:

Triplification of heterogeneous sources (CSV, XML, SQL results, SPARQL query results), mapping resources onto base ontologies or one or more ontologies, and exposing integrated data via REST services, a SPARQL endpoint and LinkedData publication using a web-oriented engine and exploration API.
