CompoDynamics

CompoDynamics provides sequence composition analyses of coding sequences (CDSs) and genomes to support investigations of gene expression, RNA stability, translation efficiency, molecular function, and genome evolution.

Key Features:

  • Extensive Data Coverage: Includes sequence composition data for 118,689,747 CDSs and 34,562 genomes spanning 24,995 species from RefSeq.
  • Detailed Sequence Compositions: Reports nucleotide content, codon usage, and amino acid usage for CDSs and genomes.
  • Derived Features Analysis: Provides derived features including coding potential, physicochemical properties, and phase separation characteristics.
  • Comparative Analysis Tools: Offers analytical tools for comparative analyses of sequence compositions and molecular features across species and gene groups.

Scientific Applications:

  • Gene Expression Studies: Enables analysis of nucleotide content and codon usage to study transcriptional and translational regulation and translation efficiency.
  • RNA Stability and Protein Structure: Supports investigation of how sequence composition and derived features affect RNA stability and protein folding.
  • Genome Evolution and Adaptation: Facilitates comparative analyses across diverse species to study genome evolution and adaptive mechanisms.

Methodology:

Integrates large-scale RefSeq datasets to compile sequence composition profiles and applies computational methods to derive features from raw sequence data.
