CoronaVIR

CoronaVIR consolidates and maintains a repository of predicted and existing information on severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) to support genomic analysis, diagnostic primer prediction, immunotherapy candidate identification, and drug-design research.


Key Features:

  • Genomics Module: Provides detailed genomic information on different SARS-CoV-2 strains and facilitates analysis of genomic alterations.
  • Diagnosis Module: Includes data on currently utilized diagnostic tests and five novel universal primer sets predicted using in silico tools.
  • Immunotherapy Module: Presents epitope-based potential vaccine candidates (LQLPQGTTLPKGFYA, VILLNKHIDAYKTFPPTEPKKDKKKK, EITVATSRTLS, GKGQQQQGQTV, SELVIGAVILR) predicted to activate adaptive (B cell and T cell) and innate immune responses including vaccine adjuvants, and explores siRNA-based therapies and RNA-based vaccine adjuvants suitable for all SARS-CoV-2 strains.
  • Drug Designing Module: Maintains a database of potential drug targets, tertiary structures, and candidate molecules identified through docking-based approaches using FDA-approved drugs, and compiles literature and internet-sourced data on potential drugs, repurposing strategies, monoclonal antibodies, host–virus interactions, and cell-penetrating peptides.
