CPAD
CPAD provides a curated repository of experimental and structural data on protein and peptide aggregation to support mechanistic, kinetic, and structural studies.
Key Features:
- Aggregation kinetics dataset: 83,098 data points derived from aggregation kinetics experiments capturing temporal dynamics of protein aggregation.
- Structural collection: 565 aggregation-related structures classified as proteins, fibrils, and protein-ligand complexes.
- Aggregating and non-aggregating peptides: 2,031 peptides annotated as aggregating or non-aggregating with pre-calculated aggregation-related properties.
- Aggregation-prone regions: 912 regions identified within amyloidogenic proteins that are prone to aggregation.
- Mechanistic, kinetic, and structural annotations: Detailed mechanistic, kinetic, and structural insights associated with the experimental and structural entries.
Scientific Applications:
- Facilitating research: Provides experimental and structural data to support investigation of mechanisms underlying protein aggregation.
- Model development and validation: Supports development, validation, and benchmarking of mechanistic and kinetic models of protein aggregation.
- Experimental design and data dissemination: Informs experimental design by reporting aggregation properties and trends and enables dissemination of aggregation datasets.
Methodology:
Compilation and curation of aggregation kinetics experimental data and aggregation-related structural entries derived from experimental studies.
