DBCOVP

DBCOVP provides a curated repository of sequence, structural, and epitope data for coronavirus virulent glycoproteins across the betacoronavirus genera, including SARS-CoV-2 strains, to support analysis of protein function and immune recognition.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Data Collection: Sequence and structural information for virulent glycoproteins derived from coronavirus genomes across the betacoronavirus genera, including various SARS-CoV-2 strains.
  • Epitope Prediction and Analysis: Conserved T-cell and B-cell epitopes are identified and annotated for each protein to inform humoral and cellular immune response studies.
  • Structural Insights: Tertiary structures of epitopes and docked epitope-HLA binding complexes are provided for analysis of molecular interactions.
  • Comparative and Evolutionary Analyses: Similarity searches, cross-genome comparisons, phylogenetic analysis, and multiple sequence alignments are available for comparative studies.

Scientific Applications:

  • Vaccine target identification: Identification and annotation of conserved T-cell and B-cell epitopes to support selection of candidate vaccine targets.
  • Immune epitope mapping: Mapping of epitopes across glycoproteins to study humoral and cellular immune recognition.
  • Structural analysis of epitope-HLA interactions: Use of tertiary epitope structures and docked epitope-HLA complexes to investigate molecular binding and presentation.
  • Comparative genomics and phylogenetics: Cross-genome comparisons and phylogenetic analyses to study evolution and diversity of virulent glycoproteins within betacoronaviruses.

Methodology:

Epitope prediction and analysis; tertiary structure modeling and docking of epitope-HLA binding complexes; similarity searches; cross-genome comparisons; phylogenetic analysis; multiple sequence alignments.
