DBtRend
DBtRend provides expression profiles of human transfer RNAs (tRNAs), including isodecoders and isoacceptors, by reanalyzing small RNA and microRNA sequencing datasets to enable comparative and differential tRNA expression studies across tissues and diseases.
Key Features:
- Data Source Integration: Reanalyzes small RNA and microRNA sequencing datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and NCBI's Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO).
- Expression Profiling: Quantifies expression of mature tRNAs across the human genome, including isodecoders and isoacceptors.
- Differential Expression Analysis: Identifies differentially expressed tRNAs across biological conditions to reveal tRNA changes associated with stress responses and disease.
- Comprehensive Metadata: Links tRNA expression profiles to sample- and patient-level metadata such as tissue types and cancer molecular subtypes.
Scientific Applications:
- Functional tRNA studies: Support investigation of tRNA roles in cellular processes using expression data for mature tRNAs, isodecoders, and isoacceptors.
- Cancer research: Enable analysis of tRNA expression in cancer by integrating TCGA data and cancer molecular subtype metadata.
- Comparative expression studies: Facilitate comparison of tRNA expression across tissues, conditions, and disease states using reanalyzed small RNA and microRNA sequencing data.
Methodology:
Reanalysis of small RNA and microRNA sequencing datasets from TCGA and GEO using pipelines specifically tailored to quantify mature tRNAs, isodecoders, and isoacceptors.
