DCTPep
DCTPep comprises an open data repository of cancer therapy peptides containing a peptide library and a drug library to facilitate the design and screening of future cancer therapy peptides.
Key Features:
- Peptide Library: Contains traditional anticancer peptides (ACPs) and peptides related to cancer therapy collected manually from published research articles, patents, and other protein or peptide databases.
- Drug Library: Contains clinically investigated and/or approved peptide drugs related to cancer therapy, primarily sourced from portal websites of drug regulatory authorities and organisations in different countries and regions.
- Comprehensive Coverage: Includes 6214 total entries spanning therapeutic peptides and peptide-drug conjugates for cancer treatment.
Scientific Applications:
- Cancer Therapy Peptide Design: Supports the design of novel cancer therapy peptides by providing curated sequence and activity data.
- Peptide-Drug Conjugate Development: Facilitates screening and development of peptide-drug conjugates combining targeted peptides with traditional chemotherapy drugs or cytotoxic agents.
- Anti-Cancer Peptide Research: Enables investigation of peptides as anti-cancer agents with specific targeting, low toxicity, and high selectivity.
Methodology:
Data were collected manually from published research articles, patents, other protein or peptide databases, and portal websites of drug regulatory authorities and organisations in different countries and regions.
