DoPI compiles and standardizes pollinator–plant interaction records to document interactions between British plant species and their insect flower-visitors for ecological and conservation research.

Key Features:

• Dataset size: Contains 101,539 records detailing over 320,000 pollinator–plant interactions (as of December 2021).
• Species coverage: Includes more than 1,888 pollinator species and 1,241 plant species, comprising over 17,000 unique pairwise species interactions.
• Interaction observations: Records report the number of times specific pairwise species interactions were observed on each occasion, with an average of 3.6 observations per record.
• Metadata fields: Each entry includes date, location, habitat, and source publication metadata when available.
• Taxonomic and ecological scope: Focuses specifically on interactions involving British plant species and their insect flower-visitors.
