Drug2Gene integrates and standardizes compound/drug–gene/protein interaction data from 19 public sources into a unified, bioactivity-annotated knowledge base for drug discovery and target identification.


Key Features:

  • Data Integration and Standardization: Unifies and standardizes compound/drug–gene/protein interaction records and activity metrics to enable large-scale comparability across source databases, addressing differences in compound descriptions and reported activity values.
  • Comprehensive Data Repository: Contains over 4 million unified relations between compounds and targets (version 3.2), including bioactivity annotations and both reported interactions and putative (homology-inferred) relations.
  • Orthology and Similarity Mapping: Matches gene orthology and sequence similarity information to specific entries to support inference of putative drug–gene associations based on homology.
